Andrea Massari was born in Rome in the seventies, but spent his childhood in Sao Paulo, something he describes as a wonderful experience. He started of as an illustrator at the age of 18, before the computers dominated the artform, and most of the artwork was made by hand. Photography came into his life years later: "- I was 27 and step by step, I started to get a very good feeling with camera and shootings rather than white canvases and brushes! At the beginning I worked a lot as a still life and portrait photographer for advertisement, but then fashion photography came in and gave me the opportunity to express myself in a more intimate way...
