Fashion photographer David Perez grew up in Los Angeles, but relocated to NYC in 2006 to work as a photo assistant. Since then it has been a one way street for David: "- As of June 2008, I've been working full-time as a photographer. But the actual act of photographing came for me only after years of pondering and wonder on all things beautiful. So when I finally picked up the camera, it did not feel strange, it felt right."
Before he started photographing professionally, David studied Philosophy, B.A, at Arizona State University, and he says his inspiration comes from absolutely everything that influences him: "- Which is the entire universe. Eversince I can remember, I've always been enthusiast about the form and spirit of the woman. She is the greatest beauty and mystery. Each time I photograph her, I attempt to translate exactly what I feel when I see her, but it always comes up short. My inspiration is to give the woman's beauty and spirit some justice...to make imagery that is equal to the beauty of a woman."
His work has been featured in publications such as Let Them Eat Cake (UK), TimeOut New York, Clam (UK) and 100-Women Magazine, and there are many more to come.
