As we grow older our connections grow with us, and we are today proud to present Cate Underwood's second story for Ben Trovato, and all in all her fourth feature after we first mentioned her on Ben Trovato back in mid-2009. It's been a long eventful ride and her development as an artist has been a true joy to witness and promote.
In her latest story for us Cate wanted to explore new territory, that of feminine, classic pictures you would find in old fashion magazines. "It was about taking these clichés and that look familiar styles and putting them in a slightly odd scenario. It wasn't about irony rather than making the whole notion of clean feminine aesthetics a bit subversive. We liked that play on soft versus hardcore, lady-like versus punk."
