Ever since Ben Trovato launched back in 2009 we have grown at lightning speed. We went from being a blog featuring the work of talented young fashion photographers, to becoming a respected stage for arising artists to explore and present their own concepts and ideas. Last year we launched our first real side project, Faces Of NYFW -covering New York Fashion Week realtime. The project has been a huge success, praised, shared and used by brands and personalities such as Victoria Beckham, Calvin Klein, DKNY, Free People and many many more.
When entering 2013, we felt the need to do something new. However, this time we'd like to play in our own ballpark and focus on what got us here in the first place: fashion photography.
The boom we've seen in the industry with the introduction of affordable equipment and social media, has made the fashion photography business a fiercely competitive one, and it's harder than ever to stand out in the overflow of the up and coming. We at Ben Trovato have an undisputed passion for the art, and saw the need of a service that could help young photographers gain invaluable knowledge and skill sets they need in order to reach their goals and realize their dreams. We decided to team up with internationally acclaimed fashion photographer Melissa Rodwell, that has years of experience teaching fashion photography. Together we have created BREED, an institution dedicated to educating and helping the potential stars of tomorrow make the best out of their talent.
We're starting out with three exclusive workshops in New York (Sept. 20-22), Los Angeles (Oct. 25-27) and Miami (Dec 6-8). The workshops will have a 360 degree focus on the profession, where you get to shoot professional models in a state of the art photo studio, an in-depth class in retouching, a seminar on promoting and branding yourself, and a glamorous after party with complimentary drinks.Go check out our workshop website here in order to read up on the separate workshops and book a spot.
