Meant To Be by Bo Zhang

"- I have worked on many fashion shoots with models as young as 14 and asking them to present themselves in a much more mature manner, as someone years older," he explains, and continues: "- Oftentimes, we lose sight of the fact that these models are just young girls. Hence, with "Meant To Be", I wanted to explore the youthful side of models; specifically the feminine friendship and the idea of innocent, sometimes naive, childhood codependence between two girls." That's how NYC based photographer Bo Zhang explains the concept of his first ever Ben Trovato exclusive, Meant To Be. The story includes models Kristina V and Katie Z, both from MC2 Model Mgmt NY, styled by Brit Cato, with make up done by Chifumi Nambashi, and hair by Bethany Brill. Bo was born in China, raised in the US, educated in England, and wasn't actually planning to become a photographer: "- I started as an engineer, and then switched to photography to do what I enjoy. I taught myself fashion photography and have been shooting for a little over 2 years now."
