Around The Block by Erica Fava

When first attending university, Erica Fava was planning to become a web designer, but shortly after starting her education she found herself occupied by photography. She started out with a little point and shoot camera about 8 years ago, and around 2 years ago she discovered "the crazy fashion world," as she calls it. Now she's been published in several print and online magazines all over, and today the Rome based photographer is making her debut on Ben Trovato. Around The Block was shot in Hell's Kitchen, Manhattan NYC, and features the fabulous Swiss-Haitian model Alizee Gaillard, who was the first runner up in France's Next Top Model, back in 2005. She's now represented by Elite London among others. Stylist of the shoot was Oscar Montes De Oca, using fashion from H&M, Top Shop, Vivienne Westwood, and others. Erica says this about the story: "- I had this great model and I tried to do an original story, showing the side of New York I loved most. I loved the Deli, the lights, and Hell's kitchen was a great place to live in."
