Sports Chic by Cecilia Austin

Cecilia Austin has been staying busy after her debut on Ben Trovato about 6 months ago, and has capped features in publications such as Carne Magazine, Le Grand Mag, and Vecu. She's also 1 of the 100 photographers selected by Vogue Italia's Photo Vogue to have work exhibited in Milan in September for Vogue's Fashion Night Out. Now she's back on Ben Trovato with her first exclusive story, titled Sports Chic. The story features model Jennifer Humphrey, with FORD Models LA, styled by Alanna Anderson, and with hair and make up by Nikol Elaine. Cecilia says this about the story: "- I was approached by the wonderful stylist Alanna Anderson with the concept to do a chic sportswear shoot. The idea of doing a refined look in a raw setting appealed to me greatly," she says, and gives the word to Alanna, who further describes the concept: "- Fitness wear and fashion are two worlds that usually don’t go together. I liked the idea of a high-fashion woman working out at the gym. The kind that refuses to take her heels off even at the gym! Fortunately, shoe designer, Sasha Igdari made a collection of neon-soled heels that had a sporty feel to them. Building on this blend of designer and sports aesthetic, it struck me that sports style could have a fashion editorial bent to it. Fashion designer Louisa Parris launched an accessories collection that included minimalist printed silk scarves. I was drawn to the geometric shapes and saturated colors.
