Amanda Fordyce started out studying fine arts and working mainly on images created without camera, playing and painting with light in the darkroom. She then went on to assist for several fashion and advertising photographers for about 4 years, to learn the technical side of photography. Now Amanda is on her own, and she is ready to take on the world of fashion photography.
Her first stop on her way to the top is a beautiful Ben Trovato exclusive titled Coventina. Amanda brought together a team of creatives who are masters in their own field letting them all bring their talent to the table, and bounce off each other: "- Yeah, and I love being the director of all of it," Amanda says, and continues: "- In this case I had the pleasure of working with jewelry designer House of Baulch, hair and make up artist Nadja Mott, who also styled this shoot, and most importantly the super hot Jade Jackson! Definitely a shoot to remember...great crew and came quite close to getting arrested for shooting in the middle of a new busy freeway with a half naked model!"
As many other photographers, Amanda get's her inspiration from a wide array of sources and life experiences, but coming from a fine art background has definitely shaped her: "- Paintings and drawings where a big part in the beginning but most significant inspiration now I'd say comes from great music, fashion and films and all the incredible photographers and creatives that I have the opportunity to meet or work with in this industry. In regards to specific people that rock my socks, well the list could go on for days, I am forever finding new photographers, artists, musicians and designers that continue to inspire me and my want to get better and better. But just to name a few photographers, and each for different reasons, some more for their personal work and some for their fashion and advertising: Michelangelo di Battista, Elizaveta Porodina, Kalle Gustafsson, Paola Kudacki, Felix Lammers, Alex Lubomirski, Juliet Taylor, Elizaveta Porodina, Camilla Åkrans, Will Davidson and Benny Horne."
She's currently based out of Melbourne, but will spend all of this September in New York City. Living, shooting and experiencing the vibe of one of the world's fashion capitols.

Photography by Beck Rocchi
Beck Rocchi inherited her love for photography from her dad, after having showed her how to use his Nikon when she was 13: "- Yeah, and it simply grew from there. He was such a gifted and passionate photographer, and I believe I would never have found it without him. He used to photograph my mum, so beautifully. After that I was always the girl with the camera in her bag. As the years went on and technology advanced it went from a small film camera, to a small digital, to a big digital SLR. I never studied it - but I think that is what makes my style a little different. Its all about how you see the world - and that is in your mind and your heart."
After growing up in Melbourne, Beck is now based out of beautiful Byron Bay, surely an inspirational location. Other sources of inspiration are beauty, color, light, symmetry, movement, reflections, details, mistakes, and of course life: "- But most of all the power of capturing moments in time that will stay frozen forever."
Her work hasn't been published in any publications yet, but something tells us it's not far away. Her plan for the future are to embrace, grow and develop her photography, writing, and her mind. Of other things: " - Travel and documentary photography has always been the thing that fires me up, that stirs me deeply and gets me excited. I love throwing myself into a foreign environment - among new visuals, strange customs and unknown places. I feed off new ideas and challenges which means I get restless easily in familiar environments of mundane routine. It is an exciting ever-changing pathway for me to continue on!"

Sports Chic by Cecilia Austin
Cecilia Austin has been staying busy after her debut on Ben Trovato about 6 months ago, and has capped features in publications such as Carne Magazine, Le Grand Mag, and Vecu. She's also 1 of the 100 photographers selected by Vogue Italia's Photo Vogue to have work exhibited in Milan in September for Vogue's Fashion Night Out.
Now she's back on Ben Trovato with her first exclusive story, titled Sports Chic. The story features model Jennifer Humphrey, with FORD Models LA, styled by Alanna Anderson, and with hair and make up by Nikol Elaine. Cecilia says this about the story: "- I was approached by the wonderful stylist Alanna Anderson with the concept to do a chic sportswear shoot. The idea of doing a refined look in a raw setting appealed to me greatly," she says, and gives the word to Alanna, who further describes the concept: "- Fitness wear and fashion are two worlds that usually don’t go together. I liked the idea of a high-fashion woman working out at the gym. The kind that refuses to take her heels off even at the gym! Fortunately, shoe designer, Sasha Igdari made a collection of neon-soled heels that had a sporty feel to them. Building on this blend of designer and sports aesthetic, it struck me that sports style could have a fashion editorial bent to it. Fashion designer Louisa Parris launched an accessories collection that included minimalist printed silk scarves. I was drawn to the geometric shapes and saturated colors. I loved the way they encapsulated both the fashion and sports themes"

A Religious Experience by Dilia Oviedo
Barcelona is hot these days, and amazing artists seems to be popping up daily. One of them is Dilia Oviedo.
Dilia is originally from the Dominican Republic, and started taking pictures when she got her first camera at the age of 10: "- At the time I remember wanting to be a photographer but I didn't really think it was going to happen. But right around 2006 was when I finally decided that this was something I wanted to pursue, simply because It's what I'm really passionate about." Until now she has been featured in a few publications back in the Dominican Republic, and in Hacid Mag, but today she's making her debut on Ben Trovato with the dark and excellent A Religious Experience.
The story features the striking Lauren Auerbach (UNO Barcelona) and Ann Müürsepp (Miah Management), styled by Ana Sting, with hair and make up done by Lara Tascon and Lucie Gardiner-Worship. Dilia says this about the story: "- I wanted to play around with the idea of possession, good vs evil, dark vs Light etc.. A lot of the inspiration came from old ghost stories and movies, and in terms of the composition and light, the inspiration came from old renaissance paintings."
She's generally inspired by her surroundings, be that people, nature, movies, or paintings, but she mentions music to be her absolut biggest source of inspiration, an to our surprise she mentions the Ben Trovato featured Ren Rox when we ask her about what's so special about music: "- I saw this quote by Ren Rox once that basically describes how I feel about music as a source of inspiration . 'Every song can conjure up a million pictures, just like every picture can conjure a million songs. After all, everything is connected,' Ren Rox"
Right now Dilia is 100% focused on launching her career, and dreams of become one of those lucky few that makes a living out of what they love to do: "- Yeah, I want to live a nomadic lifestyle traveling all over and photographing each moment."

Le Désert Fleurit by Rachel Aust
19 year old Rachel Aust started photography about two years ago, whilst in her last year of high school. After that she went on to study for a Bachelor of Photography at Queensland College of Arts at the beginning of 2010, but that was a venture that didn't last long: "- I dropped out of the course after 8 months of not being taught anything new," she say, adding: "- University wasn't for me, and I only started to consider fashion, beauty and editorial photography my niche less than a year ago, so that's what I've been working at."
Up until now Rachel has shot a handful of lookbooks and campaigns for local brands, and had an editorial published in Brisbane based ninety-two Magazine. Today she's going international in large scale for the first time of her career, having her first Ben Trovato Exclusive published. Le Désert Fleurit by Rachel Aust is a beautiful story, featuring Lutèce (Dallys) and Yasmin (Dallys) styled by Kymberly Louise with fashion from Berry St, Starring Nobody, Michaela Lobb and Tom Gunn. Amiee Taylor was the MAU of the shoot, and Myke O'Halloran did the hair.
Rachel tells us about the shoot and story: "- I wanted the story to show a connection between fashion and nature. The amazing stylist I worked with was able to find exactly what I was thinking, even though we had only had one meeting to discuss the shoot and some of my descriptions were as confusing as, 'I want the clothing to be structured, but soft.' I had originally planned for the shoot to be lit with flashes, hoping for a clear blue day to have the reddy/orange of the landscape against the bright blue sky. On the day, when we all woke up around 3/4am to start setting up for the shoot it was POURING down rain. We decided to go ahead anyway, and we shot through most of the day, (trudged through mud, I slipped up and down hills and we shot in the rain).
The sky was grey and dull, but the girls stood out against the landscape, hence the title which translates to Desert Flowers. On the day our shoot evolved from having the girls simply 'in' nature to having the girls looking as though they were blooming 'from' nature, with the designers' garments featuring animalistic prints and natural materials. I wanted it to look as though I had merely wandered into the presence of these beings and was able to capture but a moment of their life in a still form."
She says light and weather are her main sources of inspiration, and explains: "- I love seeing different ways to control and manipulate light, and I'm really inspired by finding new ways to understand, direct and disperse light. I also am intrigued by the way weather affects the human temperament, such as the cases of Seasonal Affective Disorder; how the weather can control mood. Other things which inspire me include: colors, eyes, renaissance paintings, film noir, and the work of Sølve Sundsbø and Camilla Åkrans."
For the future the Brisbane based young talent wishes to do more work outside the city limits:"- In the future I hope to be able to book more jobs in cities other than Brisbane, such as Sydney and Melbourne, and eventually travel overseas to shoot, Singapore, London and New York are all places I would love to work, I feel that being able to travel would expand my aesthetic taste and help my work grow. I also hope to have a lot of my editorial work published in magazines within the next year or two."

Summer Daze by Tamara Lichtenstein
Tamara Lichtenstein took us by storm September last year, when she made her first appearance on Ben Trovato. Almost a year has passed, and since then we've been following the Houston based photographer closely. So when Tamara contacted us some time back regarding a playful shoot she'd shot during one of the hot days this summer, we were intrigued. Tamara doesn't wish to disguise the story as something than it is: "- There wasn't really a concept or anything, she just bought a fog machine and her pool was cool, so it just worked out. Those items alone inspired me."
Last time we had a chat she told us she'd been taking pictures ever since Junior High, but said it didn’t turn into a real passion until high school when she took a photojournalism class:” - We used film and developed our own photos in photojournalism, and I loved it! Ever since, I’ve mostly stuck to using film.” (read more here)

Park Ranger by Emman Montalvan
Emman Montalvan lived in the Philippines all his life, until he last year made the move of his life: "- I moved to Los Angeles to further grow as an artist, try my luck and get inspired," he says, before he adds: "- New York is next on my list."
He's a man with ambitions, and today he's making his debut in front of our international audience with his first Ben Trovato Exclusive. In Park Ranger, he shoots the beautiful Leore Hayon styled by herself and Emman themselves, with Maria Noble being on the set as assistant. Emman says this about the story: "- I wanted to shoot Leore as natural as it could be. Beautiful backdrop, almost no-make-up look & casual styling. I love to shoot my subjects with available light. We shot Park Ranger at this beautiful park in LA. The result photos came out so relaxed and sexy in a subtle way. l love them."
Everyday life, the people he meet, and music are among the biggest sources of inspiration for Emman, who started photographer right after high school: "- I never had any formal training with photography, but I started with fashion photography right after I graduated high school. I was 17 when I had my first camera. I just kept shooting anything that my mind would conceptualize. By the time I was a sophomore in college, around 2004, I started getting booked for jobs and thats when photography became my part-time job while I was trying to finish my college degree in Production Design in Manila, Philippines. Since then fashion, portrait and advertorial photography has been my life and my profession. I am 25 now and I still have have many things to absorb. So last year, I packed my stuff and moved to Los Angeles and thats where I'm currently based."

Emilie by Vivienne Mok
Vivienne Mok started out as a designer and stylists, but the multitalent felt the need to express herself through visual images in addition to her designs: "- Yes, I graduated from Parsons School of Design in Fashion Design and worked 3 years in a Parisian Fashion House to discover that photography was what I wanted to do."
Now she's had worked featured in publications such as Material Girl magazine, Bambi magazine, Karin + Raoul, C-heads magazine, VECU. magazine, Kitten Magazine, and Ever magazine. Today she is finally making her debut on Ben Trovato. Emilie features the beautiful Emilie Pommelet from DMA, of course styled by Vivienne herself, who also did the hair and make up. Vivienne says this about the story: "- First of all the story is about the girl, the red haired Emilie, and about the mood, like a private delicate sensual romantic daydream... I chose to use white tulle as the background and an all-white styling to bring out Emilie's beautiful hair color and skin, and to create an angelic feel to the story."
"The model is often her biggest source of inspiration when shooting," she says, and adds:"- An emotion, a painting, a story, a landscape, old broken things, fairies and fairytale.."

Coeur Solitaire by Calope
Calope has since he moved to Toronto about three years ago tried to separate himself from other fashion photographers by honing a niche style that shows fashion photography with an artistic flare. Since the move he's had his work feature in several online magazines, and today it's his turn to get the exposure on Ben Trovato.
Calope shoots Natasha at Ford in this dark but emotional story titled Coeur Solitaire. Styling was done by Isis Essery, and hair and make up by Katie LeBoutillier. Calope says this about the story: "- There's this girl that I really like but I can't tell her how I feel. It's the 'so near, yet so far' feeling that inspired me to shoot this story. And I do hope the message comes across. I'm just really a hopeless romantic deep down."
His work is influenced by the works of Edward Steichen, Helmut Newton, Guy Bourdin and Ansel Adams. And as for other inspiration: "- Well, it can come from anywhere. From a flower to a song, the rain or a certain feeling."
Being up and coming, he's got a long list of dreams to accomplish for the future: "- Hopefully I'd be able to shoot campaigns for designers who's work I just really love (may they be local here in Toronto, or in Montreal or London, NYC, Italy or Paris). I also would love to get more exposure in Europe and NYC. And hopefully get to shoot editorials for some magazines (Acne Paper, S Magazine, Russh, Harper's Bazaar and Vogue Italia) and be a regular on Ben Trovato!"

Verve by Polina Vinogradova
Originally from St. Petersburg in Russia, Polina Vinogradova made the move to Copenhagen a few years ago, and attended a course in photography at Copenhagen Technical Academy in 2007, which eventually led her to fashion and beauty photography. She's now been shooting professionally for about two years, and has since the start tried to bring something personal and unique into her work: "- Yes, photography for me is about self-expression and communication with the world out there. And my goal is to bring beautiful and emotionally strong images to fashion photography," she says.
Determined to get her work on Ben Trovato, Polina and her team decided to shoot a story exclusively for us. So on a bright day in April, at Imperial Hotel in the heart of Copenhagen, Polina, stylist Sofia Alexandra Choub, make up artist Sara Zaavi-Johansen, and hairdresser Nicolas Grivaz got together to produce Verve, a story featuring Clara from Scoop. "The story is characterized by 70 'luxury and bright colors as seen in the season's trends. The relaxed, chic atmosphere bears a strong feminine expression and gives a sense of independence and the renaissance," she says, and explains "- The idea behind it was to create an image of a girl who explores her identity and manifests them through shapes and colors."

Dead Heaven by Jeff Hahn
Jeff Hahn made his debut here on Ben Trovato just a few months ago, and has spent his time this summer shooting some quality work. And one of his pieces is a collaboration with Japanese designer SKIN, shot in London, exclusively for Ben Trovato. SKIN studied at Bunka Fashion College in Tokyo, the most famous fashion school in Asia, but dropped out to move to London. He's now moved back to Tokyo to start his label and to work on the S/S 2012 collection. We shot his current collection which was very goth inspired, and set the premises for Jeff's approach.
Dead Heaven includes beautiful blonde Amelia from FM Models, dressed in SKIN from head to toe, with hair and make up by Stella Shim. Jeff says this about the story: "- With regards to inspirations, I think the designer is quite into the whole goth/punk scene, but he basically says that he just wanted to make things, he doesn't know where his inspiration came from, maybe his life in London, he doesn't think inspiration is important for his designs. I suppose he works in a more intuitive way, and I think I did too when I shot the collection.
But a song that might have been stuck in my head when I was shooting is 'Frozen' by Madonna which I think goes with the shoot perfectly."

Fire In The Blood by Ninelle Efremova
Being featured twice before on Ben Trovato, it was about time we featured something exclusive with Ninelle. Having focused on other forms of photography for a while, it was exciting to hear that she wanted to shoot a fashion story for us. And not just any story: "- This story is very special to me. I was focusing on my fine art and music photography, and was on a year hiatus from fashion, until I received a call from a friend booker to photograph a model that just arrived in town for a few days. Once I googled "Janelle Fishman", my jaw dropped and I was astounded by the opportunity."
As some of you might know, Janelle Fishman is an iconic face. Her strength and elegance are captivating: "- Yes, and having worked with such incredible artists as Terry Richardson and Ellen von Unwerth, it was an honor to share her company to make this story. She's been the face of many images that have inspired me, and now she as a person has inspired. We shot two more times during her visit, and connected as friends. We both are looking forward to making a fine art series to showcase later on in the year. This is what drives my work, and love for it: a muse."
Janelle Fishman was styled by Basia Richard, and had hair and make up done by Adam J Breuchaud. The story is named after Irène Némirovsky's novel Fire In The Blood.
Ninelle, originally from Minsk, Belarus, began her photography study through photographing details and models for her painting work. Read more about Ninelle's background here.

Ediely by Jens Ingvarsson
Having settled down in New York, Jens Ingvarsson is taking his work to new places, now exploring beauty. Having been featured multiple times in 2010, this is his first feature of 2011. A Ben Trovato exclusive story, titled Ediely.
"Ediely is the nicest person I've met in my life, I've shot 2 stories with her and I'd be happy to work with her again," Jens says about model Ediely Scapinello who's with IMG NYC, and continues: "- Everything in Ediely has a unique, somewhat elvish beauty: her name, her face, the way she moves, her gentle manners. We had a lot of fun on the shoot and I'm happy with the result."
Styled by Kevin Stinson, the jewelry in the story was from Albino Riganello's "1974" collection, and the make up was done by Yumi Kaizuka: "- I have to say that Yumi is one of the greatest makeup artists I've worked with, she's a very creative mind yet there's this amazing feeling of balance about everything she does. And my best regards to Kevin, who was also my assistant that day, and who picked those really cool jewelry items."

Reborn by Villanueva & Stone
Joe Villanueva and Katie Stone met each other in college during an Italian class in 2004. They were both artists, Katie painted and drew and Joe drew and composed music, and they were both into fashion: "- Yeah, but we didn't realize to what extent until Katie began her blog Stone and Cloth in May 2010. Being Katie's boyfriend, I was naturally the one taking the pictures for her blog with the use of an iphone and sometimes a point and click camera. The quality of the pictures became frustrating to us and after about a month, we decided to buy a professional camera to further the quality of the blog. We then started taking turns shooting each other and it became an obsession. Then, we started testing with models and eventually agencies and little over a year later we are in love with what we do. We have compressed years of work into a matter of months seeing as we do this even in our sleep. But the fact that I used to retouch and worked in graphic design and Katie has a keen sense of style coupled with both of us being artists definitely is a huge asset to our photography."
They're work has mainly been published in GOODS magazine in San Diego, and today the Carlsbad based duo are making their debut on Ben Trovato. Reborn features Kayslee Collins from No Ties, styled by Benjamin Ackermann, with hair and make up by Ashley Lueckenhoff. Joe and Katie says this about the story: "- The story behind this particular shoot/spread is about rebirth. We were toying with the idea of having this shoot be more literal and go avant garde with it but we opted not to do that. This shoot closes the book on the first chapter of our photography, we are going on a very brief hiatus to restructure our gear and style. And so is the model for that matter and the team involved in the shoot. Which is why we call it reborn, with the end of this chapter all of us will begin a new chapter."

Black Out by Larissa Felsen
Some time back São Paulo was paralyzed by two black outs, leaving the city in total chaos. Inspired by the events, Brazilian Larissa Felsen decided to shoot a story for Ben Trovato on a roof top in one of the largest cities of the world.
The amazing Nathalia Oliveira @ Ford was booked and a perfect location was chosen. Stylist and MUA Gabriela Beccari picked an all black wardrobe, with fashion from Dolce & Gabbana, Zara, and Victoria's Secret among others.
Black Out is Larissa's second appearance on Ben Trovato, after having her debut back in December 2010 with the wonderful Wilderness. Back then she told us she had been shooting since she was 16, but it was only last year after she moved from the countryside to São Paulo that she kicked off her career in fashion photography. I asked her about her inspirations: “- I’m inspired by everyday life, mostly. I keep my eyes, ears and mind open for everything. Words, sentences from books can trigger an idea for a shoot. I’m also heavily inspired by my dreams and music. A tune goes straight to my heart and images flood my head.”

Over Broadway by Luc Braquet
It's approaching a year ago since we first featured Luc Braquet on Ben Trovato. Since then he's been travelling more than ever, and shooting more than ever. Based out of Paris, he's been making regular trips to London and New York City, - where he shot his latest story, Over Broadway, exclusively for Ben Trovato.
His plan was to shoot on the street, but one hour prior to the shooting Luc discovered a great rooftop. With 2 rolls of film and his Leica in his hands, he brought Jennifer @ VNY Model Management and hairstylist Anais Sebagh up the stairs to shoot what would be another fantastic Ben Trovato Exclusive. "- I always want to show the real beauty of the girl, make them expressive, quite natural, therefor I like to shoot alone with a model or just with one make up / hair artist , to keep a small team around me, and maintain the inspiration and focus. I usually let the models know how many frames I've got left in my Leica, to keep them energetic and give their best expressions in a limited time. The story was shot in 30 minutes, with 2 rolls of film, on a NYC rooftop over Broadway."
Back in his previous feature he told us he'd been taking pictures since his childhood days, but it wasn’t until in art school at the age of 19 that he really discovered his passion for it. “- Today, at the age of 25, I am obsessed with photography!” he said back then.

Chiaroscuro by Fabiana and Carlo Nicora
Fabiana and Carlo Nicora have been a couple for more than a decade, and make out a solid creative team. But it wasn't until they left sunny Italy for creative London they found the true joy of photography: "- Here we managed to kickstart our photography dream," they say. Even though London is great, they took it back to the roots when shooting their first Ben Trovato exclusive, Chiaroscuro: "- We have always loved the romantic and mysterious feeling that only Venice has and we wanted to portray the contrast between the peculiar, conservative landscape of a unique city and its natural chiaroscuro with an intense, almost military fashion. Contrasts of light and garments, landscapes and feelings."
Chiaroscuro features Polina Chevan @ 2morrow model Milan, with hair and make up by Mika Hurukawa, and styled by Kati Brugnoli using a lot of her own unique designs.
Fabiana and Carlo say they find inspiration for their work in people and their emotions, and explains: "- The perfect image, for us, has very little to do with the technical side of it and more with the human involvement. We mainly share the same vision - with a personal twist of course - but essentially we both look for a particular something in the eyes of our subjects that makes them beautiful and unique. We love and are inspired by the work of Ellen Von Unwerth, Helmut Newton and Tony Duran."
The duo is learning and growing creatively rapidly and looking to embrace the adventure of advertising, of which they love both the business and creative challenge. "- We started the convergence between video and stills and being a team both in life as in photography it is a huge advantage because we use each others' strengths to make sure that the future is now."

Strange Ways by SPR/PPL
SPR/PPL is a collaborative partnership between the extremely gifted Andy Irwin & Luke Byrne. Recently they rented some space in a warehouse and when Ben Trovato got in touch a couple of months ago they decided that this exclusive would be a good chance to set up in there and take a break from shooting on location.
What inspired you to do this specific shoot? Can you enlighten us how that came together in this way?
" -We had a loose idea of the vibe we wanted (which first came from a couple of video covers we had lying around I think), and we were interested in the idea of approaching a fashion piece with a look and feel we’d usually more associate with our work on cover art and music projects. From there it was just about doing as many different things as we could with that vibe and what we had lying around at our disposal in the studio. The shoot itself was a pretty organic process, we had a few hours to do it and just a couple of the specific shots in mind to begin with - it all just kind of rolled from there."
What equipment do you use?
" -We’re always jumping between film and digital - it usually just depends on the project. Like most we prefer the look and feel of film, but the convenience of digital of course comes in pretty handy when working to tight deadlines - so it usually end’s up film for personal work and digital for commercial stuff. Even when we’re shooting digital, like in this case, our aim in post is to try and bridge the gap with a more filmic aesthetic as much as we can. In terms of visual effects, wherever possible we like to try to work in-camera and in front of the lens. Most of the time it’s a bit of a mixed approach, I guess we use a bit of everything. Lights, props, lens effect filters, software we just try and look them all as tools to help us make the pictures we want to make."
We notice recent work in both music photography and some more fashion inspired, what are your future plans?
" -More music stuff. More fashion stuff. More everything. More anything. Right now we’re working on a new music video for long-time pals Wolf & Cub, a couple more fashion stories and editorial assignments, and a personal art project we’ve been trying to get off the ground forever. After that who knows what’s next."

What Lies Beneath by Kate Friend
When British photographer Kate Friend recently traveled to Bali, there weren't only lazy days and drinks with umbrellas that were on the agenda. The Creative Director of Mother Magazine was planning a shoot for Ben Trovato. The outcome is a mind blowing story exploring both the model's world above and beneath the surface. "- Well the story was inspired by a black sand dreamscape, an inverted wilderness; the beach at the end of the world," Kate says, and continues "- I also wanted to explore the sensation of freedom in space. Shooting underwater was a great way to do this. Each image has its dream-equivalent; Widika's above-water and below-water worlds. The shore stands at the edge of her subconscious; she walks the fine line between real and fantasy, between this world and the next."
Perfect for the role in Kate's story What Lies Beneath, Widika @ Ford NY was styled by French Vietnamese designer MaiKhanh Bertrand, and sat at the back of the stallion Daytona.
Kate's first camera came on a keyring when she was about 6: "- It was tiny, it took only 8 photos on a miniature film. I took one photo a day, all in the snow. It was immediate aesthetic discipline, and at the same time a path to endless new opportunities." Now the NYC and London based photographer is making a name for herself internationally, proving her immense talent with stories that take your breath away.

Lamb Has Lost Control by Mario Peña
Ben Trovato is a big fan of Mario Peña and his work, and has followed him tightly since his first feature in May 2010. We ran the first exclusive Mario Peña story back in April, and now he is back with another killer story. Lamb Has Lost Control features new face Sidney Allison, and the more experienced Brittany Moser, both at NEXT LA. "The casting fits the story very well," Mario says, and explains: "- The story of the shoot is about a little girl, who has quite a submissive attitude. She is influenced more by the bad attitude of the other woman, than vices. She wants to learn how to be like her."
Brittany and Allison were styled by Chelsea Schuchman, and had make up done by Devin Joplin.
Mario usually finds inspiration in movies, music, love and life, and he always keeps his note book close to note down ideas that might pop up. More Mario Peña on Ben Trovato.
